About The Crossface Collection John Cross Good to talk to you! Thanks for coming to the Crossface page of senaxis.com. If you’re here, you are probably curious as to who I am, and what I am to the senaxis.com family…well, I’ll tell you. My name is John Cross, and I am a wrestling fan. Pure and simple. A. Professional. Wrestling. Fan. I enjoy it, I respect the industry, and I ‘get it’. I get that it is meant to be fun, that it is meant to be enjoyed while suspending belief. I get that it isn’t football, baseball, hockey, or ultimate fighting. I also get that these guys train, spend over 200 days a year on the road, and don’t have the luxury of $25 million contracts, player’s unions, or getting time off for minor injuries. In other words, I see the industry for what it is….it’s good points, bad points, and everything in between. And I still enjoy it. I’ll give you a brief history…back in the late 1990’s when the WWF/E/WCW Monday Night Wars were in full swing, my brother Michael and I began writing one of the most original wrestling Columbus on the Internet….the Crossface Report. It was a “Point/Counterpoint” column that reviewed the week’s events in wrestling from a fan’s point of view. Later, as the column progressed and the industry reached its 90’s apex, we started also writing about the industry ‘backstage’. This column started at the wrestling site OCMAN.com, and then was integrated into our very own website, bodyslam.cc. I was also writing wrestling columns at solie.org, Earl Oliver’s much-renowned wrestling website. All told, I wrote and/or co-wrote over 400 wrestling columns and had over 10,000 readers a week. In late 2003, both bodyslam.cc and solie.org closed their doors. I began writing political columns…mostly at drumwaster.com. My interest in wrestling waned, and I got into the habit of going to bed early on Monday nights…until recently, when the infamous “Master of the Site” (I call him Mister Payne) asked me if I would be interested in coming back into the wrestling fold, and writing again. I told him I’d like that. So, here we are. My brother Michael and I will be giving you a new and improved Crossface Report on a regular basis. In addition is the Crossface Conversation….a podcast dedicated to wrestling and my opinions about it. I’ll also be posting columns as they come to me, and maybe even from a special guest or two. You get the picture. So, that’s who I am, and what I have planned for this little corner of senaxis.com. Hope you’re ready! Michael Cross Mike Cross is the creator of the Crossface Report and one of the co-founders of bodyslam.cc, the site which gave birth to the Crossface Corner and the Crossface Connection. He’s the ‘Fan’s fan’, and is the guy that can see the trends before they begin. If you were ever to want the working man’s idea of what wrestling is, was, and should be, he is the man to give it to you. Mike’s point to John’s counterpoints make the Crossface Report the most original wrestling column on the net today. The Political Blog Ever wonder what the real issues are through the foggy crap the TV spews out? Do you ever wonder what ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’ really mean, and who’s really looking to serve America, or make their living off of it? Sick of people telling you what to think, and do you want to read a point of view and make your own decisions? For a conservative point of view, and a chance to sound off yourself, go to Drumwaster’s Rants, at www.drumwaster.com.
